Orkel

Orkel mandal is located in Malkangiri district, Odisha, and comprises 100 revenue villages administered through 9 gram panchayats. According to Census 2011, the mandal had a population of 53,118 across 11,714 households, with a literacy rate of 40% and a sex ratio of 1,067. Of the 25,766 workers, 10,748 were cultivators and 2,256 agricultural labourers. As of the latest survey, 68.3% of households had access to tap water through the Jal Jeevan Mission.
