Mehnagar

Mehnagar mandal is in Azamgarh district, Uttar Pradesh, comprising 330 revenue villages and 167 gram panchayats. Census 2011 data showed a population of 385,837 in 54,391 households, with a literacy rate of 59.3% and a notably high sex ratio of 1,031. The mandal had 121,720 workers, of which 33,169 were cultivators and 16,969 were agricultural labourers. JJM tap water coverage stood at 70.8% of households.
