Karchhana

Karchhana is a mandal in Prayagraj district, Uttar Pradesh, comprising 360 revenue villages and 158 gram panchayats. According to Census 2011, the mandal had a population of 569,191 across 88,630 households, with a literacy rate of 57.7% and a sex ratio of 909. The mandal recorded 191,522 workers, including 37,757 cultivators and 24,356 agricultural labourers. As per post-Census data, 70.8% of households had access to tap water under JJM. Major villages include Karma, Diha Uperhar, and Mungari.
