Jat

Jat mandal is in Sangli district, Maharashtra, comprising 123 revenue villages and 116 gram panchayats. According to Census 2011, the population was 318,464 across 62,245 households, with literacy at 61.3% and a sex ratio of 952. The mandal recorded 151,336 workers, of which 69,387 were cultivators and 38,458 were agricultural labourers, indicating a predominantly agrarian economy. Jal Jeevan Mission coverage has reached 82.1% for tap-water supply. Leading villages are Jat, Umadi, and Bilur.
