Basta

Basta mandal is situated in Baleshwar district, Odisha, comprising 361 revenue villages and 31 gram panchayats. According to the 2011 Census, the mandal's population was 182,742 across 42,534 households, with a literacy rate of 68.7% and a sex ratio of 945. The mandal had 67,105 workers, including 18,059 cultivators and 16,117 agricultural labourers. As per recent surveys, 68.3% of households had tap water access under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme.
